Another Year Down

To the Brown Dems that have made this semester (and year) so fantastic:

Since everyone is in the midst of finals period and preparing to go home for the summer (or, sadly, graduate), it is time for the final blog post of the school year.

And, we should not forget, congratulations to President Emeritus Gabe Kussin for a great year and for being chosen to be the President of the College Democrats of Rhode Island!

We cannot wait to begin a new semester supporting our Democratic nominee and Democratic candidates throughout Rhode Island and New England. We will certainly have a very busy upcoming year, filled with opportunities to get involved and to hear from some very interesting speakers.

Also, our final event of the semester was a great hit. Congresswoman Diana DeGette spoke intelligently and passionately about the need for congresspersons to put science before politics. Her book will be coming out in August which, as she said with a smile, is certainly not a coincidence.

We hope that those of you still around next year will come to our first meeting with many ideas and thoughts about where you would like to see our chapter go. 2008 should be a great year for the democrats, and we hope you are as excited as we are to be a part of it.
